Leaf Mulch Overview

In Britain, leaf mulch is the connoisseur’s choice for mulching perennial gardens. It’s easy to see why this cocoa brown, sweet-smelling, moisture-retentive mulch is so popular. The curious thing about leaf mulch is that so few gardeners in the U.S. even know what it is. That’s probably because here in the States it is very hard to come by. Leaf mulch is nothing more than partially decomposed leaves that are somewhere along the continuum between shredded leaves and humus. If you wonder what it looks like, next time you’re in the woods, just kneel down and push away a small area of dry leaves. Underneath, you’ll reveal a layer of leaf mulch a crumbly brown material with a pleasant, earthy scent.

Price per cubic yard: $15

The minimum amount of product picked up at the farm loaded by a machine is 1 cubic yard


The minimum amount of product delivered is 2 cubic yards

If you would like to have the product brought directly to you delivery service is available for all our products at an additional cost.

Product prices noted above do not include tax and we are required by law to charge CT sales tax. If you have a business tax ID exemption, please visit our office and leave us a copy of your paperwork on file. Once you have left a copy with us for our records, we can waive the sales tax for future purchases.
